Introducing the ALC-413 Transparent Hot Metal Blue Lacquer, a top-tier airbrush paint specially formulated for injection plastic kits. This 1oz bottle delivers vibrant color and a stunning finish, perfect for model builders looking for high-quality results.
Before applying ALC-413, it’s essential to use an appropriate primer for optimal adherence. We recommend using Tamiya Plastic Primers – either white or grey – or Auto Primers in white or grey. These primers should be lightly polished with 1000/1200 wet & dry paper to ensure a glossy surface that minimizes absorbency.
For the best results, ALC-413 should be sprayed at a pressure of 15-20psi, keeping the nozzle 1.5 to 2.5 inches away from the model. The application technique is crucial; think of your airbrush as a paintbrush rather than an aerosol can. Buffing isn’t necessary, but for those who want to create tonal variations, polishing specific panels with micromesh can achieve stunning effects.
Although a sealer is not required, you can mask and overpaint Regular ALCLAD. However, it’s advisable to avoid decal solutions with Chrome or Polished Aluminium finishes for best results. Elevate your model painting experience with ALC-413 for an exceptional finish.
