AquaGloss Pro Acrylic Varnish – 4oz

AquaGloss Pro Acrylic Varnish in a convenient 4oz bottle is your go-to solution for achieving an impeccable acrylic gloss finish on your injection-molded plastic kits. Prior to application, a primer is essential for best results. We recommend using high-quality plastic primers such as Tamiya or Auto Primer in white or grey. These primers should be lightly polished with 1000/1200 wet & dry paper to create a less absorbent and glossy surface, setting the stage for a flawless finish.

For optimal results, remember that ALCLAD High Shine products, specifically Chrome and Polished Aluminium, require a dark glossy base. For Polished Aluminium, use Tamiya TS-14 gloss black or an equivalent gloss black auto paint. Chrome should be applied over gloss black model enamel paint for the best effect.

When spraying, maintain a pressure of 15-20psi, keeping the nozzle 1.5 to 2.5 inches away from the model. Treat your airbrush like a paintbrush, ensuring even coverage without the need for buffing. If you’re looking for tonal variations, you can polish selected panels with micromesh. No sealer is necessary, and while Regular ALCLAD can be masked and over-painted, we advise against using decal solutions on Chrome or Polished Aluminium.
